WORK EXPERIENCE

  • November 2011 - Present. Val Morgan Advertising - I am currently working for Val Morgan as a Senior Graphics Designer/Animator. My roll requires me to work with an Art Director and complete advertising requested by clients. I am working with products such as 3dsMax, Adobe After Effects and Realflow on a daily basis.
  • November 2008 - November 2011. Optus Account Management - I've been working as an account manager at Optus for nearly three years. While this roll isn't directly related to animation it has helped me develop the skills to work well with large teams of people, along with the mind set to adapt to any given challenges and situations that arise. I deal with hundreds of people on any given week in regards to their accounts, which means I need to have the communication skills required to help someone with little to no knowledge of a given subject and help them understand it in more detail. I feel these skills are valuable when it comes to communicating ideas with people. References: Shaun Paulet (Optus team leader) - 0418131526
  • July 2007 - September 2008. Slingshot Tier 2 - Slingshot is a telecommunications company that I worked for as a tier 2 representative in Auckland, New Zealand. This meant any unresolved issues that could potentially become legal matters were handled by us. We were required to negotiate issues while assisting customers with any problems at hand, keeping both the company and customer in mind. It also meant at times that I would assist customer service agents if they were having issues with an account before it was escalated. • January 2005 - Present. Freelance Animation/3d – I'm currently working as a freelance artist outside my office hours. I have done this off and on for a number of years now, working in multiple areas from corporate advertisements, conceptualizing ideas and storyboard development, animated logos for business videos and magazine adverts. Working with companies such as:

    - Comics to Movies.

    - Golem Productions. (My work can be viewed at www.dutchmaster.com.au)

  • June 2003 - December 2004. Anim8 Studios in Auckland, New Zealand. There I worked as a traditional animator for Disney's morning TV show “Dave the Barbarian”.
